Alberta on the Plate is Alberta’s only province-wide dine around festival showcasing the incredible bounty grown and produced across our beautiful province.

For ten delicious days in August, participating restaurants offer multi-course, fixed price menus highlighting local producers, growers, distillers and brewers. These restaurants range from casual to fine dining and everything in between.  Each menu has recommended local pairings to be sure you get the perfect match for your meal (not included in pricing).

The festival serves as a wonderful celebration of local ingredients while
highlighting the restaurants and chefs that support them. It has become
a new platform to connect consumers to agriculture and helps to
continue to the conversation started by initiatives like Alberta Open
Farm Days. The festival also helps chefs and restaurateurs to develop new relationships and/or strengthen existing relationships with local farms and producers.

Alberta on the Plate takes place in conjunction with Alberta Local Food Week, and wraps up the same weekend as Open Farm Days.  Closing the loop of farm-to-table, it brings the same farm freshness to the plate all across Alberta.

The festival is produced by Food Tourism Strategies Inc., in partnership with local commodity groups and destination partners.  To learn more about the supporting partners, click here.
